WHO THEY ARE

OFSAA is the provincial governing body for high school sport in Ontario, overseeing championships and athletic programming for student-athletes across the province. It plays a central role in school sport governance and competition structure.

MISSION / FOCUS

To govern and support high school sport in Ontario in a way that promotes student development through athletics. Its focus is on creating structured competitive opportunities that complement education, while encouraging leadership, teamwork, and personal growth through school sport.

THEIR WORK WITH ICSN

OFSAA connects with ICSN through its reach into school sport systems, where inclusion and access are often shaped early. Its policies around equity, mental health, and Indigenous student-athlete recognition reflect ICSN priorities around youth development and creating positive entry points into sport. School sport is a key upstream space where ICSN-style inclusion principles can have long-term impact.
